With no recognizable stars, repetitive background music and little discernible relationship to the first film, the trailer puts forth pornographic shock and awe to make its point (whatever point that may be).
Even more noticeably absent than Elizabeth Berkley? There's almost no dialogue in the trailer! This may be due to the fact that "Showgirls 2" was filmed in Germany and there's barely any English to speak of (pun intended, sorry), but who knows? Part of the unintended humor that drove the 1995 original to cult-classic status was the dialogue.
